    Flashback a couple of years ago and, for Apple's traditional pro users, things looked bleak. The Mac Pro had come out of the gates like a hyper car but hadn't really gone anywhere, and the then-brand new MacBooks Pro seemed to be designed for everyone but them.

    Apple's new MacBook Pro is the first Mac to utilize the company's True Tone display technology, which uses multi-channel sensors to dynamically adjust the colors on your device's display based on the light in the surrounding environment. But apparently, True Tone isn't limited to the colors on the display of the MacBook Pro itself.
    According to Apple's support document for True Tone on the MacBook Pro, True Tone can adjust the colors of the following displays when they're connected to the new Mac:
    Apple Thunderbolt Display using Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter

    We learned yesterday that the 2018 MacBook Pros include Apple's True Tone technology. What we didn't know was that apparently this will also extend to Apple's Thunderbolt Display, and the LG UltraFine 4K and 5K displays when plugged into the notebooks as well.

    When using certain external monitors with the new 2018 MacBook Pro models, the built-in True Tone feature that matches the color of the MacBook Pro's screen to the ambient lighting in a room will also extend to the connected display.
    According to a support document published this morning by Apple, True Tone can adjust the Apple Thunderbolt Display using an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, the LG UltraFine 5K Display, and the LG UltraFine 4K display.
