• Apple's AR headset could land next year and be more powerful than the iPhone 14

    For a long time we've heard rumors that Apple is working on an AR or VR headset , and now it seems the wearable could be less than a year away, with a late 2022 release date touted. That's according to Ming-Chi Kuo (an analyst with a great track record for Apple leaks), in a research report seen by MacRumors. According to Kuo, the headset will be capable of both AR and VR, with the latter enabled by a pair of 4K Micro OLED displays from Sony. It will apparently be powered by a chipset similar to the M1 that we've seen in some Macs and the iPad Pro 2021 .

    We're sure that 15 years ago, no one really expected the mobile scene to look like it is today. We're sure that some probably thought Nokia would reign supreme forever, but obviously that isn't the case. So the question is, what will the scene look like in the next 10 years? As far as Apple is concerned, it will be powered by AR.
